Join your Ivy Pride friends and make new ones on this good workout of a hike with beautiful mountain and ocean views. Check out historic ruins, a perennial waterfall, and even wild parakeets. 4-6 miles, depending on group interest, and up to 1800 feet elevation gain. Long pants recommended. Bring a lunch for a stop along the way, and two liters of water. Trail shoes or boots recommended.
Directions: From Pacific Coast Hwy, just west of Pepperdine University, turn inland on Corral Canyon Rd (at the 76 Station). Drive 0.25 mile to Solstice Canyon park entrance on left in Malibu, CA, 90265. Main parking lot is about a half mile down the road, but fills up quickly. More parking is available further up along Corral Canyon Rd., but make sure car is completely out of the road striping. Or take Metro Bus 534 from Santa Monica to the Corral Canyon Road stop, just a few hundred feet from the park entrance.
