FFR/Princeton BTGALA's Shawn Cowls is bringing us back to People for a very special summer dinner! Our dinners have had a great turn out of folks of all ages. People serves wonderful pan-asian food. We will have an hour of passed appetizers and mingling over cocktails (cash bar), a reading / performance upstairs and then we'll have a buffet dinner with delicious food for all. We have the whole restaurant for this special event!

We are excited to have noted author Charles Rice Gonzalez, reading from his novel Chulito. Born in Puerto Rico and reared in the Bronx, Charles is a writer, long-time community and LGBT activist and Executive Director of BAAD! The Bronx Academy of Arts and Dance. His debut novel, Chulito, was released in October 2011, and he co-edited, with Charlie Vazquez, From Macho to Mariposa: New Gay Latino Fiction released in August 2011. He is also an award-winning playwright and serves on the boards of the Bronx Council on the Arts and the National Association of Latino Art and Cultures.

Barbara Rosenblat is one of the most beloved and sought after voices in the recording industry. She has won numerous awards and accolades including 8 Audie Awards, the Oscar of the Audiobook industry. The many best sellers she has voiced range from 'Bridget Jones' Diary', to 'Anne Frank Remembered' to 'Tales of the City'. With a body of work spanning over 400 titles, one critic was moved to write, "Barbara Rosenblat is to audiobooks what Meryl Streep is to film." She will be reading from the Queer Issue of Words Without Borders. Words Without Borders opens doors to international exchange through translation, publication, and promotion of the best international literature. Every month they publish select prose and poetry on our site. In addition they develop print anthologies, work with educators to bring literature in translation into classrooms, host events with foreign authors, and maintain an extensive archive of global writing.

Also presenting this evening is the handsome and talented Elad Kabilio. Elad hails from Israel and has started MusicTalks. MusicTalks brings classical music to an intimate and informal setting. Performed by the finest young artists, MusicTalks breaks down the barriers between musicians and audience by taking advantage of the intimacy that chamber music provides. With engaging and interactive conversation, the listener is given an experience that truly makes Music Talk!

We thank the Lambda Literary Foundation, the organization that oversees the Lammys, for their assistance in arranging Mr. Gonzalez's appearance!

We invite gay, lesbian, bisexual, and trans men and women alums from the Ivy League and Seven Sisters schools and our friends from William & Mary, NYU, Stanford, Duke, UVA, Georgetown, Northwestern, Amherst, USC & Emory friends join in. Students over the age of 21 are also welcome.

Thanks to our cohosts
